We just announced that Hubb closed a $6.3 million Series B funding round led by Five Elms Capital.
Obviously, we are happier than a unicorn eating cake on a rainbow right now.
We feel honored to be working with Five Elms Capital, a leading growth equity firm based in Kansas City that partners with B2B SaaS and tech companies, and who understands the event space.
This round also included follow-on funding from Oregon Venture Fund, which supports entrepreneurs with highly scalable businesses based in Oregon or Southwest Washington, and Elevate Capital, a Portland venture capital fund that targets investments in underserved entrepreneurs, such as women and ethnic minorities.
It seems like it was just yesterday I was sitting on the floor in despair at 3 a.m. the night before a big event, after the printer broke while re-printing thousands of programs following a last-minute change to the schedule. “There has got to be a better way,” I cried. And there was. We just had to build it.
Hubb went to market in 2015 and the journey since has been a roller coaster ride, but with the brilliant people I’ve worked with and Hubb’s wonderful customers, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
So, what’s next?
This new funding will allow us to further grow, innovate and push the industry toward data-driven decision-making. With our application of machine learning and AI providing valuable data and insights, we continue to move our mission forward of helping event managers make smarter decisions around event content and improving event ROI. There is a great deal of momentum in the event technology space and we’re excited to be leading the industry’s use of true SaaS technology for meetings and events.
Building upon our exciting innovations such as Hubb Meetings, we plan to use this new capital to scale our business and develop additional event content and meeting management solutions, along with powerful business intelligence tools.
